SUMMARY:The Attic SuperHero Run
DESCRIPTION:SUPERHERO 1K & 5K and even a 10K for those heroes who can go the distance! \nThe Attic Resource Center is hosting this fun run for the entire community!  Dress up as your favorite SUPERHERO and help us celebrate all the heroes of our community who help with the foster crisis. \nRace Beneficiary: \nThe Attic Resource Center\, a program of One Accord for Kids\, helps children in our local foster system every day.  We provide resources including beds\, car seats\, clothing\, diapers\, and school supplies for vulnerable children and families in our community. \nIn the Permian Basin\, almost 90% of children placed in foster care will be moved away from their home county because of a lack of foster homes.  The needs are great\, and The Attic is working to engage the community with the crisis. In 2023\, The Attic provided services for 1633 children in the Permian Basin.  We expect that number to be even greater in 2025. \nRACE PERKS:  All participants of the 5K and 10K who register by August 20\, 2025 will receive a SuperHero Run Shirt and other goodies! SHIRTS NOT GUARANTEED FOR REGISTRATIONS AFTER 8/20/2025. \n1K -$25 / 5K – $35 / 10K – $45

Kirk’s podcast\, American Campfire Revival\, urges the family of faith to return to the principles that will bring blessing and protection to America. Produced in partnership with Kendrick Brothers Productions\, Kirk’s most recent film\, Lifemark\, emphasizes the value of life in the womb and the beauty of adoption. He has produced a documentary\, The Homeschool Awakening\, and hosts Takeaways\, a weekly talk show. The Camerons also host an all-expense-paid summer camp — Camp Firefly — for terminally ill children and their families. Kirk met his wife Chelsea on the set of Growing Pains; they have been married 32 years and have six children.
