SUPERHERO 1K & 5K and even a 10K for those heroes who can go the distance!
The Attic Resource Center is hosting this fun run for the entire community! Dress up as your favorite SUPERHERO and help us celebrate all the heroes of our community who help with the foster crisis.
Race Beneficiary:
The Attic Resource Center, a program of One Accord for Kids, helps children in our local foster system every day. We provide resources including beds, car seats, clothing, diapers, and school supplies for vulnerable children and families in our community.
In the Permian Basin, almost 90% of children placed in foster care will be moved away from their home county because of a lack of foster homes. The needs are great, and The Attic is working to engage the community with the crisis. In 2023, The Attic provided services for 1633 children in the Permian Basin. We expect that number to be even greater in 2025.
